Working in Melbourne

Local people.
A national team.

Our Melbourne technicians and representatives are part of AV Projects’ national team. At Canaccord Genuity’s 101 Collins office, we delivered meeting-room AV from design through to commissioning.

For your project, start with the rooms, the people using them, and the construction schedule. We can then work through the design, installation, and support requirements with you.

Selected work

Client meetings.
Considered in detail.

A client joining remotely should be able to follow the conversation, not spend the meeting trying to work out who is speaking. That was a priority at Canaccord Genuity.

101 Collins Street, Melbourne

Designed around both sides of the call.

The office fit-out included meeting rooms with different requirements. The executive space needed a more natural connection with remote clients, while supporting Zoom and Microsoft Teams equally.

Motorised desk displays, integrated cameras, and retractable microphones bring the equipment into use when it is needed. Speech-driven camera switching follows the active speaker, and hearing augmentation forms part of the system.

From drawings to commissioning

Part of the room.
Not an afterthought.

At 101 Collins, the custom desk, concealed equipment, and communications-room infrastructure were worked through as part of the design. We brought the control system, camera switching, and conferencing together through commissioning.

For a new workplace, those decisions belong alongside furniture, power, and data planning. For an existing room, the starting point is what can stay and what needs to change.

Planning your workplace

What needs to
work differently?

You do not need an equipment list to start. A floor plan, an outline of the meetings you run, and the problems you want to solve will make the first conversation useful.

A new office or fit-out

Share the layouts, furniture plans, and construction schedule. Agree equipment locations, cable routes, and access before the joinery and finishes are settled.

AV design and coordination

Better hybrid meetings

Tell us what remote participants miss, which meeting platforms you use, and how visitors share content. Tell us about hearing and other access needs early.

Meeting and collaboration systems

Rooms people can operate

Consider how staff start a meeting, switch between activities, and get help. Where there are several rooms, discuss which controls and connections should be consistent.
