An AV design consultant can help turn room uses, layouts, and technical requirements into a scope the project team can price and coordinate. We work with clients, architects, builders, and ICT teams on both new systems and upgrades.

Our audio visual system design covers sound, video, displays, and controls. Equipment layouts and connections are coordinated with power, data, mounting, and joinery, with the design intent recorded for the teams delivering the work.

For an upgrade, we assess what can stay and where replacement is needed. We can also carry the design through audio visual installation and commissioning, with responsibilities and deliverables defined for each stage.

What the work includes.

Define the requirements

Establish who will use each space, how the system will be operated, and what it needs to connect to. We work through priorities, budget, and project timing before selecting equipment.

Develop the design

Plan the audio, displays, cameras, signal paths, and control behaviour. Coordinate the AV requirements with room layouts, power, data, mounting, and joinery.

Document for delivery

Prepare the agreed drawings, equipment schedules, and system descriptions. Review changes as the project develops so the installation team has a clear record of the design intent.

Defined deliverables

A concept review and a construction documentation package need different levels of detail. We agree the design scope, deliverables, and responsibilities at the outset.

AV layouts and connection drawings

Layouts and connection drawings show where equipment goes and how it works together. These give the relevant trades a shared reference for coordination.

Control intent

Describe what happens when someone starts a meeting, changes a source, or opens a divided room. Agreeing that behaviour helps guide programming and testing.

Design changes

Building layouts and requirements can change. We review the AV implications and update the agreed documentation as part of the scoped design work.
