Start with the view
you need.

An entrance, a loading area, and a remote equipment site need different views. The starting point is what your team needs to observe or review, along with the conditions in which the camera will operate.

We work through camera positions, lighting, cabling, power, and recording requirements before selecting the equipment. The design also needs to account for who can view footage and how the system connects to your network and any other security systems on site.

That gives the installation and commissioning teams a clear set of requirements, with coverage and operating limitations understood before handover.

Plan the coverage

Identify the areas and activity you need to see. Review camera positions, viewing angles, obstructions, and lighting, including any differences between daytime and after-dark use.

Install and configure

Coordinate mounting, cabling, power, and network connections. Configure the agreed recording settings, storage, and user access for the selected system.

Test and hand over

Check live views, recorded playback, and footage export. Review the agreed camera views with your team and provide guidance for day-to-day operation.

Recording and retention

Agree the recording schedule and how long footage needs to be retained. Storage is sized around the selected cameras, recording settings, and retention requirement.

Local and remote access

Local viewing and remote access options depend on the chosen system. We coordinate any cloud or VPN arrangement with your ICT team and agree who is authorised to connect.

People and responsibilities

Confirm who administers the system, reviews recordings, and exports footage. Your organisation sets its policies for appropriate camera use, access, and retention; the agreed settings form part of the configuration.

Keeping the view useful

Changes in lighting, vegetation, furniture, or site use can affect a camera view. Maintenance and support can be scoped to include checks of coverage, recording, and accessible equipment.
